During the week of January 16 – 20th 91吃瓜网 Spring Academy hosted Democracy Week!
Spring Academy Democracy Week offered聽our KIPPsters聽the space and opportunity to discuss and learn about the three branches of the U.S. government, the 2017 Presidential Inauguration, and to reflect on Former President Barack Obama鈥檚 presidency.聽
Students read books such as聽Duck for President, Fly Guy at the White House, and When Penny Met POTUS聽to help further their understanding of the history of the White House and the U.S. Presidency. 聽In addition, students also created and displayed their 鈥淚f I Were President…鈥� written pieces and the canvas paintings. They even learned about the importance of the White House garden and healthy eating.
KIPPsters concluded the week with a celebratory Lift Every Voice Assembly. The performance was met with a packed crowd full of parents and supporters! 聽Thanks for making this week a success. 聽
