Ferebee-Hope Redevelopment Project

91³Ô¹ÏÍø is grateful to the administration of Mayor Muriel Bowser for awarding the Ferebee-Hope site to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø and our partners for re-development. We seek to build a hub that promotes educational excellence, wellness, and lifelong learning, bringing new energy and opportunity in the heart of Ward 8, home to many of our students and families.

Project Vision

Bird's eye rendering of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø's second high school campus at Ferebee-Hope

New & Modern Recreation Center

91³Ô¹ÏÍø will build a new recreation center at Ferebee-Hope to be operated by the Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR). The facility is slated to include an indoor pool, boxing gym, multipurpose space, and gymnasium. The current DPR recreation center will stay open while the new recreation center is built.

Redeveloped Outdoor Spaces

We aspire to modernize the outdoor spaces at Ferebee-Hope. We plan to work with MPD to create a robust safety plan for the site. We anticipate outdoor spaces will include a football field, baseball diamond, basketball court, community garden, and playground.

State-Of-The-Art High School

We want to partner with current 91³Ô¹ÏÍø families and the community to design a state-of-the-art high school that will prepare students for success in college, careers, and life. This high school will be a permanent home for current 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Somerset College Preparatory students and allow more 91³Ô¹ÏÍø students to attend high school in their community.
